She says she has had the captcha disabled, so the problem should be solved now. Hopefully people are able to join up without hassle if they try again.

Ah geez, I'll see if I can reach Tails about it

@  ronelrat : (08 July 2018 - 10:02 AM)

There are people wanting to join the forum who says they received a message asking for a security code?

@  Caryn : (07 July 2018 - 05:49 PM)

Two of my girls over the years have had strokes. Both were still alive when I found them but suffering side effects ie: paralysis, loss of cognitive function. Sadly there is not much that can be done if they are very far gone, smaller strokes can be treated and rats can recover. Seizures are horrible. Mavdb had a couple of boys with issues, you may be able to find posts here on the forum.

You're not mad at all for wanting to help her :ratsad:

@  lollyh : (25 June 2018 - 04:33 PM)

Thank you caryn.yes i know you would.:-).i love her so much.i dont care about the cost.really i dont.even though everyone around me says im mad & just put her down. :bigeyecry: .no unfortunately i don't have an edgars account.

@  Caryn : (25 June 2018 - 11:43 AM)

Sorry you're going through that with your girl. You know I'd opt for the surgery, Dr O says he can do it and I trust him completely. I realise cost is an issue though. Do you have an Edgars acct you can pay with or can you sign a debit order with them? That's what I usually do for larger surgery costs.

@  lollyh : (25 June 2018 - 09:34 AM)

i have such a hard decision to make. :bigeyerat:

I'm devastated. Got home from work yesterday and Starshine was not in the cage. The boys are claiming ignorance and so I have no idea when in the day she escaped. I know the cats didn't get her because there is no evidence left behind. I have searched the house but she could be anywhere. Is there any hope at all that she will come back - considering I've only had her two weeks? What can I do to encourage her return? And do I need to get a new friend for Rattles immediately or should I wait? Very heartbroken

Sorry about the million repeats! Don't know what's going on! BUT! Good news! Starshine is found!! She made a hole in the bedding and was hiding between the layers! Sooooo relieved and happy!

when my ratties escape or take a walk about-my house comes to a immediate stand still. lol .i go into panicked mode.every family member gets called, stop what you doing & we search as we have 4 jack russels.thankfully they don't have much interest in my rats except the youngest jackie called snoopy.but i cant take the chance.

in my experience usually if they have gotten out during the day.they usually will go curl up in a nice warm sleeping spot somewhere.then the rattie will come out later on at night looking for food & exploring, sometimes i have even let my other ratties out in my room to explore & help me find her.touch wood.the escapee comes running out when my girls go walk about. most of the time my escappes gave either hidden under my bed or in my bedroom cupboard.

Thanks Lolly. Yes, very relieved indeed and my very sad little boy is happy too! I think ill be less panicked when they're older and completely used to us!

Glad to hear you found her!   Almost 90% of the people I know who've had rats escape have found them wedged inside pillows, duvets, inners, etc lol    And I'm not surprised, my girls are all free roam and that's where they sleep most of the time by choice too :D

Have deleted the duplicate posts.  Not sure why but the forums been doing it for ages now where it gives an error or freezes, but the topic actually does post.  Sorry about that! :(
